… That was part of the problem, bro. Many people didn’t want Black people to have equal rights and southern states ignored Supreme Court cases citing Black people as absolute equals to whites. This disenfranchisement of Black people did not allow them to carry out their Constitutional rights. That’s why the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was essential.
